UGH! T100s have always been so freaking expensive. 2WD or 4WD, it’s gonna be many Benjamins, especially if they’re actually clean. Even beat to hell ones, or high miles examples, push over $4k as is.
SAVE ME CRUEL WORLD!

I’ve become a big T100 fan lately too, though what I REALLY want is a Toyota 1 Ton

I dunno man, I’ve always found these to be some of the most awkward looking trucks ever made. These are not lookers.

If you can find one. We had a wealthy client who drove one every day. OBVIOUSLY IT WAS THE KEY TO HIS FORTUNE

I have always liked the way they look, particularly the facelifted ones (post-3.slow). I will say that the extended cabs feel a bit more passenger-oriented than truck-oriented than you would expect. They’re deceptively roomy. Most people will always say to get a Tacoma instead, but I like these a bit more for whatever reason.

There were other mistakes as well at the time:

The rear overhang on the ext cabs always made these look home-made to me.

Toyota makes awesome trucks that make “built ford tuff” seem like a Chinese toy car :p
And 90s Toyota was the best cars and trucks EVER! And priced accordingly :(

That dealer sells something other than bro-dozers? I’d never have thought that based on their ads. Tell ‘em The Bone sent you.

In RWD? Hell no. I see zero use for a RWD truck, then again it snows around here.

Yes, if the wheel were properly centered it would probably look better.

Doesn’t snow much here. Ever. Last time it did, I drove this just fine.

I know, right? I’ve never had real success haggling with car salesmen, though... Really prefer private party sales, painful though they may be.

It’s all fun and games until you meet a hill.
I used to live in West Virginia, in a couple different areas. There are two West Virginias, one where it snows like crazy and everyone has something suitable to drive, and another where it doesn’t snow as much and is kind of urban/suburban and some people have the wrong vehicle for snow. In the latter, we had this awesome hill that divided two “hollows”, and although it was sort of out in the country it was only 15 minutes from the city so a lot of people lived out there and drove that road. When it snowed I always had a good chuckle at the people who could not get over that hill. That truck would not make it over that hill.
The best was this soccer mom whose 4x4 Explorer was churning the rear wheels like mad, going nowhere. I walked up to her window and asked her if she needed help; she proceeded to hurl a string of expletives about her worthless 4x4 and the snow etc., so I showed her how to hit the little button for 4x4. And up the hill she went!

In WA, our ditches are littered with Exploders and F150s when it snows a whole two inches, because no one here knows how to drive in snow. But I do: if it snows a lot, stay home. If it snows a little, drive carefully. Boom.

Those are the best deal considering how fucking expensive trucks are now, I see landscapers etc. with them and they are smart.

Man, a lot of people cannot drive in snow and that is the truth. When I lived in the WV mountains people were fucking masters, that’s a place where a two foot snow is pretty common. Old women were drifting curves, I swear. Here in Indiana people scare the shit out of me in the snow. Maybe it is the flatter, straighter roads and they get this sense of complacency. Up in the mountains a mistake can very well kill your ass, over the hill you go! The “suburban” WV people would regularly plant their 4x4s in the ditch as well, but at least a greater number of them had a clue.
I live right across from Louisville KY. A few years ago I was commuting to there in a pretty good snowstorm in my Explorer, outfitted with winter AT tires, doing a good 50 mph, and some nut in a C5 Z06 actually passed me. He was either the world’s craziest driver or the world’s best driver. I got off the next exit so I don’t know what happened to him lol.

Don’t forget the lifted 3500's with Mud-Terrians that do 65 for an entire 4-5 miles before becoming best friends with the Exploders and F150s.

Accelerate gently, break early, and either turn slowly or go with the overstreer. Now I kinda miss winter. I love driving through snow.

When i was a weeun i worked at a lube/gas/wash place. A man in a 98 durango came in on a heavy snow day saying he had driven the last 30 miles in 4low (because snow) on the freeway. He pulled off and rolled up because he was trailing smoke. You could hear boiling (or maybe it was pinging) coming from his transmission pan, and after it sat and cooled for roughly 30 minutes, the rear diff, after we pried what was left of the rubber inspection plug off with a screwdriver and a flat blade, produced a billow of the foulest gearlube smelling smoke imaginable. Fluids were added. Basic info on 4wheel settings and a prediction of the vehicle’s premature demise was given. Man drove off in 4hi in a wet but plowed and unfrozen parking lot. Much laughter was had.
I drove a 2wd buick with an emergency spare to work that morning. Fwd ftw.
Driving in crap traction is not hard if you have your wits about you and a basic understanding of how massive objects carry much momentum. It helps to understand how to correct that momentum.
